evergreenDIRECT Credit Union offers scholarships for full time students who are:
- Entering Freshmen
- Continued Education
- Vocation School/Training
Applications are now being accepted for the 2026-2027 school year through April 15, 2026.
Application Information & Instructions
evergreenDIRECT Credit Union will establish and fund an annual scholarship to be awarded to eDCU members who plan to attend an institution of higher education. For Fall 2026, two students will receive a scholarship award of $1,000.
Purpose
To provide financial assistance to those who have committed to improving their lives and their community by furthering their education.
Eligibility
- Each applicant must be a member or eligible for membership in evergreenDIRECT Credit Union.
- Applicant must either be planning to enroll or already enrolled as a full-time student at an eligible institution. Full time is identified as a minimum of 12 term/semester hours.
- Student must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average. Students without a 2.5 GPA are still encouraged to apply. In addition to submitting the application, please submit a typewritten letter and three references. More directions are included in the last page of the scholarship application.
Eligible institutions include any public or private, generally accredited two-year or four-year institutions of post-secondary education, including vocational training.
Application Process
All applicants will complete and submit a scholarship application by April 15, 2026 for an opportunity to be awarded $1,000. All mailed applications must be postmarked by April 15, 2026 and sent to:

Selection Process
A Selection Committee of three of more evergreenDIRECT Credit Union team members will review each application. The committee will meet as soon as possible after the application deadline to review and assess all applications. Once a decision is made, the scholarship recipient will be notified by the committee.
For selection, applications shall be ranked according to financial need, community involvement, and level of academic achievement.
IMPORTANT: Scholarship recipients have 10 business days to respond and accept the award. If an applicant does not respond, a new applicant will be selected and awarded.
Scholarship Amount
The amount to be awarded is $1,000.
Distribution
The scholarship will be paid directly to the recipient’s school. The funds may be used for tuition, room, board, books, or materials. A letter of acceptance or proof of enrollment is required from the selected scholarship recipient before funds can be awarded.
Note: Applicants will only be notified if they are being awarded. If you wish to be notified of scholarship results even if you do not receive an award, please inform evergreenDIRECT Credit Union that you have filed an application by emailing [email protected].

Completion of a scholarship application in no way guarantees eligibility or scholarship funding. A scholarship committee appointed by eDCU shall be the sole decision-maker regarding the award of any scholarships, and its decision shall be final. eDCU reserves the right to amend the terms of any scholarship at any time without prior notice. The eDCU scholarship is non-renewable; eligible students must reapply each year.
