Be safe when shopping online this holiday season! During the holidays, we see an increase in fraud. Online scams continue to rise and it’s important to always protect your personal information. Both through your laptops and mobile devices, remember these tips to keep your information safe:
Never open suspicious texts, pop-up windows or click on links in an email from someone you do not know.
Don’t respond to phone calls about needing remote access to your computer.
Never open or download PDF documents emailed to you from a sender you are not expecting.
Don’t respond to unsolicited emails, phone calls, or text messages that ask for personal information or for bank account and debit/credit card numbers.
